If you are looking for a more inward journey with yourself through yoga practice, then Kundalini Yoga could be a good fit for you!

Kundalini Yoga, also known as the yoga of awareness, is an ancient technology designed to work directly with your nervous and glandular systems. While it is a great physical workout, the focus of the practice is to stimulate the energy flow in your body to bring healing, cleansing and transformation within you.

Every class is always different, but it typically included a series of exercises or poses called “Kriya”, chanting and pranayama (breathing exercises). Many poses are done sitting down on the floor and modification for practitioners sitting on chairs or wheelchairs can be offered. To be ‘good’ at Kundalini Yoga, all it takes is to be open-minded and just try your best – whatever that looks like. Your body type, experience level, physical ability, age or gender do not matter, and Wakan welcomes everybody to her class with open arms.
